Mother's day has come and gone
And now it's time to travel on
But we still cherish all the days
When she helped in many ways
She washed and cooked the livelong day
And showed us how to find our way
Mom helped us learn to read and write
And how to love instead of fight.
But now, she's gone so far away
So now there's naught to do but pray
And hope she hears us way up there
While we express how much we care.
