Aspirations

I do not hope to pass this

Way again

Nor tread the leaves

Of another fall day.

I strive toward a height

Not yet attained

Where the things not written

Are made known.

I struggle to stand atop the

Mount where the three holy men

Transfigured amidst

The cleansing light.

I aspire to break free of the

Cycle and ascend

The throne of Karma

Where all things

End at the beginning.
