If it were not for guardian angels I wonder where I'd be...
Light Of Angels
It took a child To show me angel lights In the sparkle of crystal orbs On dew-drenched grass In rays of filtered sunshine Through summer leaves And barren branches of winter trees In sunlight’s glitter On freshly fallen snow In sparkling shimmer Of moonbeams On river, lake or ocean In ceaseless twinkling Of countless stars It took a child To remind me What as a child I knew That guardian angels Are ever by our side
AND, 'A LITTLE CHILD SHALL LEAD THEM'. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE...WE ALL NSHOULD GO BACK AND LOOK AT LIFE THROUGH OUR 'EYES' OF LONG AGO. ENJOYED. LOVE,BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
Regis,
Innocence has a way of opening eyes. Children see so much more. This is a vivid poem with a magical feel. It has that Tinker Bell feel; it makes me want to believe. Love and Hugs,
Sheila
A very powerful peice Regis, one of your best in my opinion. It is too bad that most people aren't able to gain back that view of the world they had as a child, it would certainly eliminate a lot of the problems we have these days. A beautiful offering.

Once again, you do it for us. So well written with deep feelings and the beauty of children and their innocence. Surely, they must be our Guardian Angels at times. Love from Meredith

I really, really like this one. I immediately felt centered and synchronized with the Life that expresses through all that is, was, and will ever be. I think I can say I felt "empty". Thank you, john

Oh Regis, so very beautiful and so true too. As children we can see all the beauty, wonder and enchantment in all we see. As adults we become blinded by woes and the cares of living. There is much to be said for the insight of a child, they can teach us alot if we'll but listen! Very well done Regis!

It's funny how much children can teach (remind us) if we but watch and listen. Thanks for a wonderful write.

I believe in them. Stunning picture.
Merry Christmas!
Ecstatically clapping my hands in childlike delight, here, Regis! :)) This is sooooo spot on and beautifully, perfectly stated to great effect, and with the desired impact: stunningly gentle and yet strong at the same time. This is brilliant with truth and pure as the pristine elements of which it is composed. We can all be children like this, and, indeed, it is through the eyes of a child that truth and light is quickest perceived. I'm left wondering what the actual earth-years age of this "child" was/is?! Would I had eyes to see what s/he sees. This is both comforting and encouraging. Bless you and thank you... be well! LOL Kate xx
I love the style in which you wrote this. One long sentence that seems to be a metaphor for eternity. Beautiful write. Angels are there. And sometimes God uses people as "angels." It happened to my husband and me. Someone pulled over to help us with car trouble. He didn't say anything. Just fixed the car quickly. We asked if we could pay him. He said, "no, just help someone sometime." We watched his truck turn around and vanish into thin air.
Ah, this is the sweet, reflective, wise pen that I have come to love and appreciate with great anticipation from my friend Regis...a lovely piece. Michelle
Your contrasts of seasons and reasons strikes a disharmonious luxury of loved 'strife', Regis, promoting such love to us who are 'in-between' as to ache with each line, in such a way, we, the reader, feel the authors happiness in such a way as to revel, for a second, in the 'perfect moment'...
so true. so very true. seems to be a spate of this going 'round - our eyes are being opened and, in many cases, we are being reawakened. makes me go warm inside and gives me chills at the same time. it's an amazing time to be alive, Regis. always grateful for your poetry. Dawn

This is so very true. Loved this uplifting message.
Angels were desexed philosophically in the writings of the early theologians who said that unlike the souls of the virtuous reborn, angels were even unable to kiss.
Christian iconographers borrowed an existing inspirational figure as the model for their angel, the pagan goddess, Nike, or Victory. As a result, angels became feminized, sexually ambiguous figures.
It always comes back to a world of ideas and images created by the child's own discoveries. Light of Angels is a reliable source of guidance, as you are to me Regis.
