I have added to this rhyming acrostic. I have done others before. I find the challenge irresistible. I lose sleep until I get another one done. I love a challenge. I love this one. Acrostics are easy for me to do. However, a rhyming acrostic is a whole different story. Not easy for me to do at all. I challenge my fellow "word players" to write one. Happy Halloween! Have fun. Be safe.

Happy Halloween (Rhyming Acrostic) How is everyone tonight, Are you ready for a fright? Perhaps you think you are brave, Perchance it is fear you crave. You’ll see ghosts rise from the grave. Halloween is here once more, All the kids run out the door. Letting out screams of delight, Lively goblins in the night. Owls hoot from nearby trees, Witches fly on the night breeze. Evil grins from ghouls abound, Eerie shadows all around, Not a safe place can be found. © Régis Auffray

wonderful halloween poem, regis

HALLOWEEN

A great day for ghosts and kids
ripping up fences to build bonfires
apple bobbing and boundary crossing
this world and the hereafter
closer than you think!
Halloween witches on their brooms
shadows on the wall in haunted rooms
Scared to go to sleep
all those ghouls and goblins
maybe they will find you
in the dead of night.

What a great Halloween write, Regis. And yes, the challenge. How I love a specific challenge such as you set up here. I'll see if the muse strikes the right mood. I have been playing around with a few Halloween ideas, but nothing solidified yet. Excellent post.
