A Lady Named Lola *A lovely lady named Lola,* *Promised I could play her viola;* *When we got to her place,* *She started to chase,* *Whiskey down with icy cola.* *A Lady in Canmore* *There once was a lady in Canmore,* *Who opened her own special store;* *Her wares were exotic,* *The décor erotic,* *Her customers kept coming for more.* A Gal Named Tina *There once was a gal named Tina,* *Who worked in a local cantina;* *She served wonderful food,* *Ever in a good mood,* *While she played the concertina.* *A Lovely Tsarina* *One day at the local arena,* *I met a lovely tsarina;* *I asked her for a date,* *She said I should wait,* *Until I obtained a subpoena.* *A Gal from Tijuana* *I once met a gal from Tijuana,* *Who told me her name was Louanna;* *We went to her place,* *She cut to the chase,* *And taught me to dance “the marijuana.”* *A Gal Named Kristina* *There once was a gal named Kristina,* *Who was served with a subpoena;* *The reason being,* *She wasn’t seeing,* *She could not keep a pet hyena.* *A Lady from Nome* *I once met a lady from Nome,* *Who insisted on taking my gnome;* *She waited for her chance,* *Did a bit of a dance,* *And stole my gnome when I was not home.* *A Gal from Rome* *I once met a fine gal from Rome,* *Who insisted on taking me home;* *She fed me some ice cream,* *Made of snow and a dream,* *After which we spoke within her dome.* *A Fellow Named Stark* *There once was a fellow named Stark,* *Who liked to wander after dark;* *He liked the devil,* *He was quite evil,* *I’m glad that he croaked in the car park.* A Gem of a Woman *I once had a woman on my mind,* *Some said she was a woman unkind;* *I did not believe them,* *To me, she’s a gem,* *These are the ties of love that bind.* © Régis Auffray
