 A Gal Named Holly and Other Stories…

A
Gal Named Holly

There once was a gal named Holly,
Who had as a friend a collie;
They were always together,
Like birds of a feather,
She named her collie, Miss Molly.

A Fellow Named Rod

There once was a fellow named Rod,
Who wanted to fish for some cod;
He went out to sea,
In his dory, you see,
But sadly, he’d forgotten his rod.

A Lady from France

There once was a lady from France,
Who knew how to dance and to prance;
She was a fine mare,
With lovely blonde hair,
To ride her, I wish I’d had the chance.

A Fellow Named Moses

There once was a fellow named Moses,
Who grew the finest of roses;
The ladies approved,
And some were quite moved,
Until the thorns pricked their noses.

A Fellow from the Glen

A fellow came out of the glen,
With a load of many a hen;
Everything was fine,
Not at all out of line,
Until he insisted I pay him in yen.

A Fellow Named Lorne

There once was a fellow named Lorne,
Who got lost in a large maze of corn;
To find his way out,
He started to shout,
This seemed to make him less forlorn.

A Lass Named Ryoko

A lass by the name of Ryoko,
Had quite a fondness for cocoa;
She added to it,
A special tidbit,
She gave me some and I went quite loco.

A Gal Named Heather

I once knew a gal named Heather,
Who was clad in naught but a feather;
The feather was wide,
But it could not hide,
Heather’s assets no matter the weather.

A Man That Loved Beer

There once was a man that loved beer,
To him it was what was most dear;
Under its influence,
He gained experience,
And nothing else gave him so much cheer.

A Fellow from Hope

There once was a fellow from Hope,
Who constantly acted like a dope;
With his shirt inside out,
He went walking about,
Begging every gal to elope.

Your limericks are always a delight, and I'm happy that you have added a little erotic innuendo in a few of them to spark their interest even more.

And, you have certainly sparked the memory of John Domino with his confession that he admitted he hadn't even confessed to his mother.

I'll bet you didn't know your limericks and such power!

I think Rod, like all fellows had all the time, his very own rod that he could have used to fish with, he just had to make his rod stiff...

There once was a man named Regis,
whose limericks were quite prestigious.
It was easy to spot,
when his pen was hot.
He was simply a limerick genius.

GREAT STUFF Regis! You saved the BEST lines for last!

A Fellow from Hope

There once was a fellow from Hope,
Who constantly acted like a dope;
With his shirt inside out,
He went walking about,
Begging every gal to elope.

This was John M.D.
A teenager once was he
But he wanted a gal
So he searched quite a while

John was like a tiger out a cage
So at 18, he wound up engaged
But she took the wig off her head
Scared John; did not want to wed

Then they had a big fight in the park
That carried on and on, until dark
Then Nancy thew her ring on the floor
She said she didn't want John no more!

So John took the diamond ring home
Gave it to his mom, who just who lost one
So he became his mom's favorite son
Even though she only had ONE!

The contents of this story is true
It's now a secret between me and you!

Thank you Regis! This is actually a story about myself growing up at 18. I never told anyone except my mother, of course. Your poem sparked a long-lost memory that's a part of my past. I'll post it, but give you the credit!

All the best to the best,

John Michael Domino
