Princess Marianne and other Tales
Princess Marianne
Marianne just rode into town,
On a horse that is not at all brown;
Since she will be queen,
Thus, she must be seen,
As she waits for her golden crown.
A Man Who Came Forth
There once was a man who came forth,
He came forth from far in the north;
He was out of luck,
With only one mukluk,
He introduced himself as Orth.
A Fellow named Clooney
There once was a fellow named Clooney,
Who most often seemed rather loony;
He wandered about,
And was apt to shout,
That his name was really Mulrooney.
A Lady Fair
I once met a lady so fair,
Who said I was her teddy bear;
I really did not mind,
Because she was so kind,
As to let me reside in her lair.
A Fellow Named Kam
There once was a fellow named Kam,
Who said he did not give a damn;
But when the dam burst,
He was one of the first,
To insist on assistance from Uncle Sam.
A Fellow from Barrière
There once was a fellow from Barrière,
Who loved just to sit on his derrière;
So, nothing got done,
He had too much fun,
Living life without a single care.
A Lass Named Lorinda
Lorinda is a really fine lass,
She’s unique at the top of her class;
She’s such a sweetheart,
If we ever part,
It will be time for my final mass.
A Lass from the Past
Diane is a lass from the past,
She could most certainly be cast;
In a play about kings,
And long-lost golden rings,
She would leave everyone aghast.
A Passionate Writer
Dena is a passionate writer,
With her words she’s a fearless fighter;
She espouses the truth,
She is never uncouth,
But she’s never far from her lighter.
A Lass Named Dodo
There once was a lass named Dodo,
Who met a fellow named Frodo;
He was a hobbit,
And out of habit,
He only wore a tuxedo.
