An Angry Young Cop
When I entered my friend’s flower shop,
I met an angry young cop;
She was ranting and raving,
About men not shaving,
I gave her a kiss so she’d stop.
A Lady Named Kloss
There once was a lady named Kloss,
Who married a farmer named Floss;
They raised some chickens,
That turned into Wiccans,
Because they fed them magical moss.
A Lady from Nantucket
There was a lady from Nantucket,
Who always had with her a bucket;
But it sprang a leak,
Its future was bleak,
So, she decided to just chuck it.
A Senator Named Duffy
There once was a senator named Duffy,
Who met another named Buffy;
They wasted their time,
Travelled on our dime,
And when caught replied in a huffy.
A He-Man from Lillooet
A would-be he-man from Lillooet,
Fell in a creek and got all wet;
The creek was shallow,
His courage hollow,
He’s now afraid of his own silhouette.
A Man from Merritt
There once was a man from Merritt,
Who crowed about his own merit;
He bragged of his works,
Expected some perks,
It became so no one could bear it.
A Debutante in Distress
A debutante was once in distress,
Because she had a tear in her dress;
I came to her rescue,
With thread made of fescue,
And soon we were off to meet the press.
A Lass with no Home
There once was a lass with no home,
She had nothing on her but a poem;
I asked her to come in,
And when she was within,
She asked if she could see my gnome.
A Fellow Named Robin
There once was a fellow named Robin,
Who loved to play with his bobbin;
He rolled it back and forth,
First south and then north,
He gave it the name of Dobbin.
A Sweet Concubine
I once met a sweet concubine,
Who lived not far from the Rhine;
She was already taken,
Which left me quite shaken,
I wished that she could have been mine.
