A Lady Named Balraj
There once was a lady named Balraj,
Who learned how to play in her garage;
She fingered the guitar,
Just like a rock star,
And shortly had quite an entourage.
A Fellow Named Jake
There once was a fellow named Jake,
Whose passion was to bake a cake;
He did not know how,
So, he took a bow,
And went off to charm a garden snake.
Useless Senators
The senators doze in their chairs,
They are dreaming away all their cares;
Obsolete and useless,
Well-paid and clueless,
They’re not unlike hibernating bears.
A Lady from Blaine
I once met a lady from Blaine,
We walked as one down Lovers’ Lane;
I thought I’d steal a kiss,
Certain it would be bliss,
But she bopped me on the head with her cane.
A Lass Named Karen
I once met a lass named Karen,
Who came from the land of Erin;
This is not a lie,
She would often fly,
On the back of a great blue heron.
Toronto’s Mayor
Toronto’s got a most unique mayor,
It seems he thinks he’s a player;
In spite of the fact,
That it’s all an act,
He claims to be a soothsayer.
A Fellow Named Zack
There once was a fellow named Zack,
Who came into town on a yak;
He caught our attention,
He caused some tension,
With the sack on his back full of smack.
A Fellow Named Rocky
There once was a fellow named Rocky,
Who wanted to become a jockey;
He lived under a bridge,
Slept inside a fridge,
At times he could be quite cocky.
A Gal Named Beverly
There once was a gal named Beverly,
Who was always late, never early;
She oft made me wait,
When we went on a date,
This could at times make me surly.
A Gal Named Betty
There once was a gal named Betty,
Who enjoyed cooking spaghetti;
One day she made too much,
But with just the right touch,
She fed the excess to her yeti.
