These are good comments here about “Violin Love,” Regis. I like reading the comments, because to me they are part of the poetry experience’s totality….how the writing affects people. This one shines in every way, but most grippingly, in my response to all the beauty, is the “Only me/If God allows it.” That is the distillation of the concept of ‘cherish.’ Lovely! ~~ djl
Ah, most romantic words ever penned Regis. I have an affinity
for the violin, once owned a copy cat of a Stradivarius, sold it
for I couldn't play it, sadly enough.
There's something about the violin that can reach deep down in one's soul with a single note. But in this case it is multiplied by the beauty skillfully drawing the bow over the violin string. Reaching more than just your soul. Your total adoration and love.
This is absolutely beautiful, Regis. So emotive and passionately written. I can feel what the narrator is feeling, perhaps because I have felt it myself. That is what poetry is all about.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
