A Short poem dedicated to my lovely wife Sally,

I remember the first time
that I saw your face,
those beautiful eyes
that seemed to brighten the place.

And the way you were talking,
with a lady like air,
I knew I just had to meet you,
Oh Lord I declare.

Well since then the world
has been so re-arranged,
But in the way that I feel,
Darling, nothing has changed.

I remember the first dance
that you taught me to do,
I had two left feet,
but I was dancing with you,

So I felt just like Swayze
at the height of his fame,
and when I dance with you now,
Darling, nothing has changed.

Well I'm no Fred Astair,
or Travolta I guess,
and you could do better
than me, I'd suggest,

But when I hold you close
you still do things to my brain,
and in the love that we share,
Darling, nothing has changed.

You still make me feel
that I could right the world's wrongs,
in the darkest of times
you're the sweetest of songs,

You're the light at the end
of a tunnel of woe,
the most wonderful woman
that I've ever known.

And through ten years of marriage,
through sun, sleet and rain.
Through good times and bad times
Darling, nothing has changed.

I love you as much now
as I did at the start,
in fact if anything
there's even more love in my heart,

Because I still get a warm feeling
at just the sound of your name.
Until I take my last breath,
Darling, Nothing will change.
