You know I said I love you,
I've told you many times,
I said, I'de love you forever,
and you said, you'd always be mine.

but while driving home from work last night,
to take you for a meal,
I saw you kissing my best friend,
so let me tell you how I feel.

I didn't get disheartened,
I didn't get the blues,
I didn't even wonder why,
you do the things you do.

I just slowly drove on by you,
and left you standing there,
and you know I had to ask myself,
do I really even care?

After all, it's not the first time,
and I doubt it'll be the last,
and I don't feel as forgiving,
as I have been in the past.

And I've been looking for a while now,
for a way to say good-bye,
without ending up the villian of the piece,
that made you cry,

To be honest, I quite fancy,
that young brunette at the bank,
so you've done me quite a favour,
please accept my warmest thanks.

Now I don't want to be unreasonable,
I know these things take time,
but if you could be gone when I get home,
from work,that would be fine.

Please take all your belongings,
you know, your Cd's, that kind of thing,
but leave the Plasma TV set,
and of course your wedding ring.

They might still give me a refund,
after all it's not that old,
and even if they don't,
you can get good money pawning gold.

Oh, please don't beg me to forgive you,
because that could never be,
Oh, and one last thing, before you go,
don't forget to leave your key.

I hope this is fiction. If not, I'm not sure that forgiveness is the way to approach it. I think the brunette angle might be better. Everyone knows that we are not naturally monogamous. It's primarily a religious/cultural thing that we take to extreme over what we consider a "transgression."

A little openness in relationships can go a long way to creating a happy, healthy life without all the heartache and drama.

I'm sorry you had to endure it.

Love ya!

This poem brought an image of when I saw a past lover, Virginia, kissing someone else. Not a good thing to remember . . .

This would make a great song.
