It spilled over, all over the place

Soaking up the surface and staining the inner seams

Dripping, leaking, spilling yet not wasting

Bloating out what was once so visible and apparent

It’s motion causing me motion sickness

Rocking, rolling, crawling over and exhausting  

Killing me softly, making me weak, making me strong, making me weaker making me stronger

Redefining that which has been embedded and that which can’t be denied

If you can read between the lines you would understand this disastrous spill

It contaminated the waters and damaged the home of its inhabitants

Destroyed the innocent and inflicted its blow on the vulnerable

Its untamable power has taking over me

Run, duck, dodge, and hide

If only shelter I’d find and a clear way of escape

Too late you’ve missed your chance

Longing, weeping, crying, sobbing deeply

Searching yet direction has been denied

Did it spill or did I push it over, all over the place

And now I seek refuge from my self imposed spill
