Gone without a trace

Poem Artwork

As if someone put a spell on me
and made me want to be
only with you

Like my mind was put under siege
like you made a breech
in my wall

As my heart was put to the test
and taken over with the rest
How bizarre

Like you placed yourself in my brain
then made me love you in vain
Such pain

As if a love spell was cast on me
and then you were all I could see
my eyes for you

Drowned in a sea of passion
out of your own fashion
enslaved by you

Obsession took me by surprise
you my one and only vice
over and over

Then you pulled away your grace
as if now you won the race
gone without a trace

Quite savage reading.

Enslavement is not a thing we should ever be tied too.

And no one, I repeat no one, is worth that kind of pain.

Sad to read. Obsession is not love, although it may seem like love. When a perception becomes compulsion it is enslavement. And it takes a lot of courage to break free.
