Poem Artwork

Exhausted....
Tired of trying
No more tears fall
My heart is in a million pieces
Killed with your cruelty and lies
My murdered soul lays lifeless
Nothing brings it back to life
It is as though you took a knife, gun, axe
Killed it good and forever
The only tears left are the ones
that hide in the darkest recesses of my
shattered and bruised heart
Anger rests in your heart
A monster resides in your soul
What sort of man destroys
Kills another's soul that they claim to love

I fight for breath
I am enclosed in myself with no relief
I scream for Gods mercy
I read his scripture aloud over and over
I plead for help
I despair of never finding myself again

A murdered soul lays open and bleeding
The crimes against it forgotten or ignored
By all who could see
By all that could hear
By those who wouldn't hear or care
My eyes are open to the world
But what good are they when the soul that
fills them is laying lifeless
I allowed this to befall me unknowingly
Out of need and fear

You brought me to this place
You put your mark on me
You buried me deep
You didn't have to destroy me
You could of just left me
You could of let me be
Passed on by
Looked the other way
I'd still be breathing freely
My soul would be alive
My heart unshattered

I hope this is not happening, if it is, you have to hold it together. You deserve to FEEL life not just live it, if it isn't. . what a ride, very very deep and sorrowful.
