Where hast thou gone?
Thou hast flown from mine eyes.
Like the mist in a dream
thou hast left me bewildered.
Come to me, from wherever thee be.
I long to look upon thy face
to know that mine dreams be true .
In my dreams I can see but a moment,
Then alas the mist consumes mine
vision and thy face is no more.
Where hast thou gone?
Thou has vanished with the morning
sun and left me to ponder it.
Come to me from thou dark secret place,
hide no more from the beauty
of the sun filled days.
I await thee, no fear should thee
feel, for the air is clear and the
dawn bringeth forth new life.
Come to me, do not flee in the mist.
