Being a liar, I understand. I imagine that's not good. If I sang to anyone it would be enough to drive them away.

i like the unique impact of this poem, Roger ...

I read this slowly 3 times, Roger. Each read created a fully developed scenario, entirely different from the last, until I reached that last line, the chilling impact.

The simple language suggests that it is straightforward, literal. Why, then, did the word "enigma" pop into each of those scenarios? The language, I think, is a buffer for what is hidden behind the words... yet, it feels like that expression "hiding in plain sight."

It's inside... but I can't seem to say it. katy xox

Awesome write, Roger. What we won't do to share a few moments of companionship with someone we have feelings for. We have a hidden agenda, to be sure, though we hope we are not overly transparent.
