Life ain’t always been great
but it has been good
allowing the removal of some things to leave
while
never knowing that they were there
faith being the doorkeeper
for all the things unseen
pressing the word to move on
and to these eyes
they are tomorrow’s hope
I’ve never known the things
that were never meant to be
allowance giving me time to grow
never leaving me behind
that was then
when some things weren’t meant to be
this is now
and for all the things
that are coming my way
faith has opened a door to freedom
at last
Life ain’t always been great
but it’s great now
and
as I look back on yesterday
I saw something good
turn great
now today
I know that each day
intended
were days
that were really great
