This one's by me, Diana Chaudron, David's daughter (I'm 12). I hope you like it.
Crystal clear innocence
Falling upon the windowsill
Of a children's room
They watch in wonder
Eyes widened in esctasy
At Heaven's tiny gift
To the young
A splash echoes, the dirt turns
And others join in
Laughing, playing
While the parents look on
Smiling before picking up
Their yellow plastic-clad
Progeny for another bath
And then the small storm ends
A few tears come
But quickly replaced with a grin
Once the warm milk is in their hands
And a cookie finds its way to their mouth
The eyes look to the window
Sweet nature, raindrops.
