But now I know you lied

As I was walking out the door

I remember the day that we met,

That come on look was in your eyes.

I took a gamble, placed my bet.

But you filled my life with lies.

You said you were at your mother’s place.

You said that she was feeling ill.

I remember the smile on your face,

I did not hear the warning bell.

That night she called me on the phone,

She said she had to talk to you.

I told her that you were not home.

I cried, as I lied for you.

I saw you, sitting in his car.

The kiss you gave him at the door.

Seems your love don’t go too far.

I gave my love, you wanted more.

You said those words to many more.

When I think of you no love I see.

You cried, as I walked out that door.
