RAINDROPS OF SADNESS

In the course of our everyday existence, some of these days bring bright warm sun light.

Clouds of soft white, sitting so high up in the sky, while here on earth we are treated to the songs of nature,

The high pitched hello’s of our winged feathered friends, the soft buzz of the honey bee, going about its work.

Such perfection cast upon us, from high up above, but, what of those raindrops of sadness, that dampen our day.

Does it ruin that picture I have painted so far, no I think not; at least I’ve made the choice to keep marching on.

Sadness is sadness, I don’t argue that point. But, its existence is required to balance our load.

I accept these moments of cloudy thoughts and woes, knowing I can overcome that weight they bring fourth. From above.

The ying and yang of it is simple, you know that we need both. These raindrops of sadness help balance the joy.

So, don’t get upset, all is not lost. We are the scale of these forces, the balance point if you would.

It’s how we accept and digest these daily events that keep our life in harmony or simply a mess.

So stand tall and ready, await these raindrops, then deal with them, solve them, then go on with your life.

Some sage advice, especially in that last line. If life were perfect, we'd have no reason to grow and change for the better. It's the problems of life that keep us reaching for something better. Excellent write...

rob bear,
Its only by sadness that we can appreciate the smiles of life. Excellent poetry!
