Embracing the night

There was a time when I walked through my world under the cover of night.

Strange shadows developed from the silvery light cast down from a moon full and round.

What lay before me was never available during the day filled with light.

The same trees and bushes, now converted to silvery grays and muted blues cast shadows even at this time.

The images I carried from the lighted day were such lush greens of all different shades.

How different was my world when seen with this colored light. Add to this the eerie feeling that I was never alone.

I heard no sounds, except the rustling wind, casting the shadows back and forth.

I remember having the feeling something was always standing near me. Were these people from my past, or guardian angels of the night time?

This was something I never did know, I walked through that world learning the difference of one object, idea, or phrase could have when seen in a different light.

I would imagine it was about that time I discovered that like people; we have to step back and look at all things from this different light or view point, if you would.

The second lesson was that I noticed the principals of ying and yang or the duality in life.

The equal and opposite of all of the items in our world. To think it all started by noticing my world from the daylight and then again how it resided in the shadow world of the night.

It has been many years since that night and I am still a student of those discoveries.

Trial and error leading to my present ways, stepping back and looking at things from both sides now.

The reasons and meanings existing in our world are never ending for those who seek more.

Bear

Hi rob bear, This write is so much like what I used to do every night. It is a different world to learn. Oh and I used to walk the cemetery at night, too! Awesome knowledge waiting there ....Thank you so much for this reminder....

In Spirit,
