What, No Cheese?

This would have been better categorized as Humor/Sarcasm

Inverted I get dizzy
Perhaps treading water
Through a pool of piranhas would do
Or maybe skydiving without a parachute

The mind is volatile but I could
Never outrun a cheetah
Or deflect a charging rhino
They say bungee jumping is quite a thrill

Versuvius isn't air conditioned
And I'm afraid of heights
Don't care for pizza
No future in javelin catching either

Investing in pharmaceuticals
Revokes the medicine man's license
Do physicians hold conventions
Before writing perscriptions?

LOL, Paul! I always enjoy your sense of humor. I like to remind my hubby to be more careful with his food choices now so he won't be limited later. He loves his munchies, meat, and high-sugar drinks. Me, I like moderation. Okay, maybe I slip on the sweets a bit! A fun read:)

(((paul)))

if i could, i'd RUN like a cheetah when the docs prescribe medication...they overmedicate, or you have to take more pills to counter the side effects of the first pills, and then more pills to counteract the second pill's effects and so on and so on and so on *ad naueseum*

excellent observations, excellent write!

(((HUGS))) and love,

karla. :)

cheetahs are my very most favorite animals! :) glad you mentioned them! :)

Great write Paul! Definately gives one pause. It's scary because our system
promotes kick backs on prescriptions.
Gives you faith in your Doctor and the system huh?

Fine writing Paul! how well I understand this one! Having had heart surgery etc, life becomes a case of "Is that all there is";-)however it gets better as you stop fighting it, and find better ways of eating and doing things;-)

There are limitations we put upon ourselves from mindset. How many ways can we say "I'm too old to do this?" before we believe it. I depend upon herbs and my tendons repaired themselves from being severly damaged. Just keep going and move so you don't become stiff. maybe moving to the south could help. I kow slowing down with us down here would add years to your life. Love your way of writing about it. Sometimes just getting it all out works.

Love,
Susan

Perhaps I should explain this little poem. Recently I was diagnosed with high cholestorol by one doctor and a torn bicep tendon by another doctor. Not to worry, nothing life threatening. My sarcasm comes with the many foods that I love I can no longer eat and my activities are limited due to the tendon problem. Oh well!!! such is life. I guess we are nobody without our limitations.

This is intriguing, striking thoughts. "What, No Cheese?" - What other lure could be used to attract the RATS.

"What, No Cheese?" brought a good question. This satiric composition does prod imagination and social responsibility... like consumer affairs and related matters.

I Salute You, Author Poet Paul Berube.

May You enjoy an accomplishing day.
