An Angel’s Wing

For a moment,
I saw an angel’s wing
Solidified in butter,
On a sandwich knife.
~I thought/imaged, “How precious is that!”
Upon the forgotten spoon, right-sided,
Lie wisps of whiskey, water
And French loaf crisps of crust
discovered in the silence of distraction..
~I thought/transferred, “How idiotic am I?”
Suddenly, I felt shifted. I’m the one
Who cleans up this mess! But, to me
A miniverse is still a universe, only tiny. We
Need to sweep away the crap-rampant!
~“I see now/ no tomorrow. No quotations.”
After a better look, colored all the ways it was,
I thought the wing was waxed, and waned strangely.
Felt it lapse into defeat. Just for a moment, I saw
An angel’s wing.

I thought the image an interesting curiosity and didn't tell anyone about it. Like all other patina on the bottom of frying pans, the image eventually disappeared or I threw away the worn-out pan.
If only I had that pan today, I could take a picture of Jesus, and write a poem like you did featuring the picture. Moreover, I could go online on eBay and sell the image for 4 or $5000, or more! I would probably be featured on the evening news, at least on the local channel, and might get an audience with the Pope so that he could kiss my frying pan.
Just a thought.
