Another Day, Fever-Felt

Another day, filled by thoughts, awareness.
In the middle, where it’s safe, I watch the
Problems I most hate! Indecisiveness,
And trillium debate! Where spring greets the
Trauma of Summer! Unrelenting blue
Skies can’t wrap a cloud bandage over a
Sere—dried form! Such a hot day, tried and true ,
Of desert life! Such another day. As
Day comes, such another hot day. So, we’ll
Wilt and fade, dancing upon macabre rain,
Still not here. Days keep coming, I’m unwell
In the telling, just another day, again.
More days come, for-fevered-truancy-wise,
As I continually hide, behind my disguise.

Always,
Deborah
not to be wasted on a hot summer's day!
Erin needs to play in the rain...
