Restful Desert

Soughing through pine boughs massive,
While rattling mesquites dried out beans,
Wind pushes its weightless mattress
Under residents’ new found dream.
Sizzling through seed head grasses,
Which monsoon exploded in size,
Wind crashes the crunchy masses,
Withered labors of plants quickened rise.
Sighing through soul is contentment,
While traversing property glad,
Wind whispers secret advisements
And continues its journey unclad.
Scorching through thorned endorsement,
Slow shifting with drowsy consent,
Wind kisses sun brows of mesquite,
Sweeps away into deserts heartbeat.
