LAST CHANCE FOR SUMMER lyrics
by JOEL SATTLER

This is the last chance for summer
this is the last chance for summer
the last chance to have some fun
maybe the last happy summer
the last chance to laugh in the sun

because after this summer
everything will come to a head
after this summer
all the lines are gonna be red

the sun is a massive nuclear bomb
but he doesn't want
to do us no harm
he wants us to play in the hills and beaches
and keep our lives out of reach of hurt
thank you sun for giving us the day
thank you sun for your life-giving rays
thank you sun for the years we live
thank you sun for all you give

and if this is the last chance for summer
the last chance to have some fun
maybe the last happy summer
the last chance to laugh in the sun

then we should be grateful
for all the joy we've had this season
because after this summer
everything will come to a head
after this summer
we won't need to have a reason

the sun is a massive nuclear bomb
but he doesn't want
to cause us no harm
he wants us to play in the hills and beaches
and keep our lives out of reach of hurt
thank you sun for giving us the day
thank you sun for your life-giving rays

Reviews of "LAST CHANCE FOR SUMMER lyrics"

Old sol isn't going away anytime soon, but we better slather on the sunscreen and drink plenty of liquids because our world is about to heat up in a way that we can't just flip a switch and air-condition it. Summer is likely to be around long after were gone. And it may be hotter or cooler depending upon whether we're still meddling with it or not.

If we could create a fusion bomb on a much smaller scale a couple of places around the earth, we wouldn't have to worry about summer at all.

But your lyrics have a nice, apocalyptic tone to them.
