An empty promise may go unnoticed
for just a little while
so don't waste your breath or time
to try and fool a child

One good thing about children is
they let you keep on trying
so use your chances wisely
they can tell when you are lying

to try and bring you down
so wipe that expression off your face

The point that I was making
is that time is much too short
so use it well and keep your word
don't let it be the last resort
