A broken back
whether serious or mild
can place you in a wheelchair
forever or for a little while
through our latest modern techniques
broken bones eventually mend
this is what she desperately seeks
A broken spirit
unlike shattered bones
left her an empty shell
very hollow and alone
to face a future of total hell
never finding her way home
what she wants is some direction
not knowing who she sees
when looking at her reflection
A broken heart
we must be aware
that someone really
has to give a care
all the medicine
in our complex world
cannot in fact heal
this heartsick girl
what she needs is a loving guide
then throw in a mighty prayer
to help rebuild her trust and pride
that she loves herself again, and care
