Did I ever tell you my sweet love that you make me a better man?
You’re presence strengthens my nervous pride and loosens my stubborn stand
I am all encompassed by your inner beauty and your outer summer tan
I want to marry you in the country out west and create your children in the coastal beach sand
Your bright blue eyes hypnotize my mind and your long curly blond hair silences the war in Afghanistan
Your long slim legs wrap around me tight when that feisty attitude of yours is heard throughout the loud quiet land
Just want to take a walk with you through the lush green forest where there is no lovers ban
There will be those that want to tear you down because of your status in society, upper class and what’s in your hand
Don’t let them get under your skin, or lose that great smile of yours during the camera pan
You are more special than most folk realize like when you hear those high heavenly harmonies from your favorite musical band
Did I ever tell you my sweet love that you make me a better man?
Janna Hill
Wonderful write. Your sweetheart is a lucky woman.
