Ripping and tearing inside my soul,
breaking and humbling my heart;
Circumstance has allowed for light to descend
from the height that my life once held.
Darkness comes.
It comes swiftly and silently
as the last breath of a dying man;
ever so quickly as the hand of fate
destroys one soul to enlighten another.
Darkness is upon us.
Without regret I welcome the new state
of eternal darkness and peace.
The road was once joyful and grand to travel,
but without the light everything seems so lifeless.
Darkness has finally arrived.
