A chill in the air breaks the silence,
so I turn to you for a reply.
You are so confused.
We sit there quietly, not knowing the next move
like we were pieces on an elaborate game board.
That's what I dreamt last night as I tried
to rest my soul and mind,
But no matter how many times I dozed off,
I woke to the truth you were gone.
