I was called and asked to write something for a 50th wedding anniversary. This is what I came up with.

Through These Many Years


Life is to short to spend it alone
Through these many years together we’ve grown

With all of the trials we have trudged through
I can not see myself with anyone but you

We have shared together more than half of our lives
Never once regretting our vows to become husband and wife

There is nothing I would take for the time we have shared
And I know there have been times you thought I didn’t care

Together we raised our family so dear
With laughter and smiles and very few tears

Words can not compare to just how I feel
But loving you all these years has made my life a thrill

As the years roll by spending them with you
Our hearts beat as one; forever remaining true .
