Going Home
Going home
know which angels will come for me--
Dad and my son—each takes a hand.
I’ll rise from my deathbed to stand
see sis, brother … the promised land;
angels abound … my grandchildren.
Grandparents, unknown, are waiting
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews--band
with cousins. I’ll hug them … I can!
Going home … to meet my Maker;
Going home … after serving my Lord.
Don’t need halos, wings, a mansion.
I’m going home
to meet my Maker;
Going home ….after serving my Lord.
Going home--my home’s in heaven.
Going home. No more to roam.
Going home
everybody my company
the fallen of 9/11 stand
Oklahoma victims at hand
every war victim … from each land!
Angels abound, we gather ‘round
waiting for the trumpets to sound
to see the Lord … who is home bound.
I will see Him, hug Him! I will.
Going home … to meet my Maker;
Going home … after serving my Lord.
Don’t need halos, wings, a mansion.
I’m going home
to meet my Maker;
Going home ….after serving my Lord.
Going home--my home’s in heaven.
Going home. No more to roam.Chorus:
Going home
there’ll be no tears for you to cry
when I go to my home up high
I am bound for the promised land;
He lifted me up—grasped my hand
my knees cave, weak, I cannot stand.
The angelic choir is singing
everything in heaven shining
for the Lord is home and reigning.
Going home … to meet my Maker;
Going home … after serving my Lord.
Don’t need halos, wings, a mansion.
I’m going home
to meet my Maker;
Going home ….after serving my Lord.
Going home--my home’s in heaven.
Going home. No more to roam.
