On Wings of Angels!

They had met during
the darkest of days
where cities fell
to the unmerciful..

He flew by the seat of his pants
accompanied by the unseen
guiding lights, protection
from the merciful

Amidst the turmoil
their love blossomed
narrowly evading
the sting of the reich..

When it was over
homeward bound
waited he for her
at the port of reunion

He flew by the seat of his pants
She sailed, on a sea of hope!

Toiling each day
rearing their bairns
solid they stood
Unshakeable, in Love!

Years went by
times they did change
the fruit of their union
emptied the nest..

One day she left
on the wings, of Angels
left him, alone for a time
till his ship, sailed into port..

Sixty Six years hence
it all began..
for eternity now
it will constantly reign!
