A poem about finding peace in the midst of the storm

The wind continues its eerie sound

As evening’s worries increasingly abound.

Gone is the beautiful songbird’s song,

That was taken for granted all along.

The darkening clouds gather overhead,

Increasing one’s worry and dread.

Flashes of lightening and thunder’s claps,

Troublesome times are ahead– perhaps.

Rain intensifies, accompanied by hail,

Rising water does all assail.

Landscapes now begin to erode,

Causing concern in all places of abode.

Multitudes now long for its end.

When will the Lord calmness send?

Will it be before end of day?

To that end all will surely pray.

Then when it seems there is no end in sight,

He again demonstrates His great might.

A peaceful calmness is to all known,

An answer to prayer He has shown.

I love storms. Watching them come and watching them go. And the peace that is found in the calm afterward. Of course, metaphorically life's storms aren't particularly welcome, but the peace experienced once they are past is ...well...um...peaceful.

Saying it like it is are you? Wonderful description of the storms ahead for us and to be dissapated in peaceful times too.
