Love Life

He was looking for a place to stay

She needed help with her monthly rent

Her bed was cold and he was warm

It was there his nights were spent.

Not really love, but they got along

And one thing soon led to another

Back to school she got her degree

Her ambition he tried not to smother.

When she whispered it at breakfast

He felt his heart flutter within him

“I love you deeply.” were her words

Oh how she made his mind swim.

Her work as a lawyer was always hard

And food on the table for him was fun.

Preparing dinner was his main delight

Just to see her light up like the sun.

He loved her dearly, with passionate care

She played his body hot and wild in bed,

On the counter, on the floor, in the chair.

Room spinning, fireworks bursting overhead.

Happy kids and grandkids finally arrive

Oh what love they shared thru the years

Peace and joy fill their beautiful souls

Their solid love conquered their fears.

Seems like yesterday he needed a place to stay

When she needed help with her rent

He didn’t know she’d be such a good lay

But he does know from heaven she was sent.
