Ever so slowly, the years do fly
I’ve so much to do before I die
And all I can do is sit and sigh
As the wind in the bone yard hurries by
God give me the strength to pay my due
Help me to do, what I must do
Keep me safe from Satan’s eye
As the wind in the bone yard hurries by
My thoughts are broken as are his bones
And the bleeding dog, in pain he moans
No one can save him; his time is nigh
As the wind in the bone yard hurries by
God Almighty, by your Grace
Swiftly take me from this place
If it be thy will, my instruction taken
Let me know I’m not forsaken
I pray, my Lord, hear my cry
And the man and the wind,
Begin to die
JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
I can nearly feel the chill on the cell walls
and the bars...
I found keys to an emotion prison
Sharing Them With You...

Too good a job, man. Too good a job.
Still. . .it is impossible not to take pleasure in a well-conceived
and -constructed poem such as this.
Thank you so much for sharing it.
Always, and Then,
