Burning Bridges

Bridges are burning all around me

My anger has turned to ash

Regrets turn to memories

But there are circles that are not complete

Forgive me for the damage

I tried desperately to heal the dream

You couldn't let me

You wouldn't let me

My shrine is burning

My world is on fire

I want the flames to end

When the wall is gone I can move forward

Ash at my back

Resurrection to the living dead

Scars will form

Pain will subside

Love will reside

All will abide

Sorry,

Forever

The only thing you can do is say sorry for your mistakes. You did that and the wall should come tumbling down. You tried desperately to heal the dream and that is all you can do my friend. We all have to forgive before the pain goes away...Very heartfelt write! Take care, and god bless! ~Chessly

This is so utterly emotionally charged
and releasing too in such a revealing fashion
we all build walls..and stones & bricks
one by one they go up
and one by one they can be removed
however..in this I like to climb walls
well I just do lets say...
