How it was meant to be

Life is finally here

Burning desires are in a holy place

Begging to be blessed by His Holy grace

To Wed in understanding of Baptism’s face

Life is finally clear

The completeness of my life has she given me

A love for me I have never known

Matched by the love that only I own

But doubled because she shared her own

Love thoughts written are riddled with ambiguity

My life belongs to you and the sons we both love

I would put it on the line to defend you

You are safe in my love, for it will protect you

You are free in my love, for it will not trap you

You can breathe in my love, for it will not smother you

You can be confident in my love, for it will support you

You can grow in my love, for I will nurture it

Forgive me for my failings,

Thank God for her righteousness

A rose to the four thorns that pierce my heart

I love her all the more for her strength

Her completeness in my absence

My absence of completeness without her

This is beautiful David
the love is dovotely avowing
in any misgivings of the "failings"
your closing phrases are really gripping!!

it really makes us want to value our life circle
& claim & own our responsibility to enrich it
least thats how I feel right now...

I ponder...wondering...
what are those four thorns...hummmm

On the Edge of Words by Debra Kraft

Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
