I merely feel it is inside my belly,
A tremendous subject somewhat too big
For my mind to encompass and to digest,
A seemingly inconsequential chaos
Obeying its own laws of existence and
Getting butterflies -- love at first sight --
And enacting its own powerful life-drama,
At times inevitably tragic, at times comical,
But always intensely and boisterously real;
Then after awhile, I begin to think again,
With wonder and amazement and the like. . .
"A tremendous subject somewhat too big // for my mind to encompass and to digest." Wow, that's for sure. What is love, but an enigma that may never be fully comprehended, just experienced, and possible loved. Gotta love the poem ! !
Without it, human race wouldn't be racing to its own demise. Love is like a fluttering butterfly that comes and goes like the wind and sometimes leaves behind a little something we have to take care of and nurture. ;-)
