Minnie and Grace
Two little girls, Minnie and Grace,
One’s made of leather, the other of lace.
The oldest is black, and the youngest is gray,
They’re just so different, what more can I say?
Grace is the quiet one, Minnie is loud,
So it’s easy to pick who’s who in a crowd.
They both remain quiet when they are at rest,
It’s difficult then to say which one’s the best.
They’re here for a visit, they’re staying a week,
God, stifle the loud one, and bless that, the meek.
Grant me the strength to make it today,
Through this but the first of their endless week’s stay.
