Morning Delight

Poem Artwork

Dew

Sparkling diamonds on my lawn,

As it glistens with morning dew.

Glittering Emeralds at the dawn

Shimmering playfully in changing hues.

Twinkling on the deep green fronds,

Flickering from reds to greens, to blues.

Sparkling diamonds on my lawn,

As it glistens with morning dew.

Winking starlite, captured dream like,

Casting a gossimer hue.

Those sparkling diamonds greeting daylight,

Clinging softly to leafy rue.

my fav of early dew comes when the cold drives little spiders to ground and the orb weavers leave their gorgeous bedazzle webs out along the pasture fence

DIAMONDS they are!!

Never stop writing!

There is hardly anything more pleasant than dew. And your poem celebrates that. Whole species rely on dew as their only source of water.

I like walking barefoot on grass wet with dew, and I love dew on a spider's web. It really brings out the beauty and intricacies of the web's design.

Just beautiful. I can taste and feel the dew. Than you!

Epiphany by Gary Stephens

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
