'Tis the beginning of the Silly Season here n Cow Hampsha, to be culminated early in November. In the meantime, th candidates are bloviating. Here's my take, for however little it migtht be worth.

CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN

It’s what you get
When you give the girl
Five bucks
For a cuppa joe at Dunkin’s.
It’s what you do
To a little kid
When his diaper
Is full of you-know-what.
It’s what happens
When the light bulb
Goes “pop!”
Leaving you in darkness.
It’s NOT what you hear
Any time a politico
Of whatever stripe
Opens his fat yap.
If that’s what you think,
I've got a bridge in Brooklyn
To sell you,
And it’s going real cheap.

You give credence to the old adage, "the more things change, the more they stay the same." Thank you, Chip. Love and peace to you,
