Just savage creatures known as man,
unable to learn from our history past,
good verses evil ever taking a stand,
peace and harmony not meant to last.
Evil lurks in lust for power and greed,
human nature makes us ready to fight,
pagans and Christians with basic needs,
each setting apart as the one that’s right.
Sadly, peace on earth is just an illusion,
living in a state of denial of what’s real,
false hopes and desires bring confusion,
where truth is blurred we can not heal.
Animals know you must survive or die,
man thinks peace will come in the day,
evil tramples the weak not asking why,
superior yet we just can grasp the way.
Everyday working to protect our own,
just never knowing who is at the door,
friend or foe can instill adverse tones,
we’re creatures design for acts of war.
