Living with memories of yesterday’s dream,
always wondering of what could have been,
lost in life’s maze of horrors and schemes,
fighting for survival where you can not win.
Life is an adventure filled with ups and downs,
where our reality blends with mindful illusions,
people and places so many cities so many towns,
traveling the high road in the mist of confusion.
Knowing love and laughter hold the magical key,
brings us a presence of mind so we can survive,
treachery often will change what is and could be,
as spirits united in hopes of peace stand divided.
Haunted by the dark shadows of history’s sorrow,
thoughts linger in memories of within our mind,
what once was and what will be, both are borrowed,
in an ageless universe our events disappear in time.
The forces shift in the sand with the ocean waves,
casting doubts spurred by memories from our past,
death linger and from it’s grasps we can’t be saved,
from dust to dust, ashes to ashes, nothing will last.
you have certainly laid down somw of life's truths--i have to say, this has been a very tough year or two for me and i still believe in the absolute magic of life!
Sometimes I'm glad that certain things don't last.... and honestly....what you speak is true... we are here for just a short time; so we should truly make sure that we are the best person inside and out that we possibly can be.... because then Poof! we are ashes and dust once more! good writing... lindalaw
