Observation

The friends I lost ...and the few I kept

Served to guard my sanity

As I trod on toes, pursuing truth

I met with much profanity

When those who’d shield their firm belief

Must save their pride and vanity

But it showed me where my worth was held

A lesson on ‘humanity’.

Yes, there comes a time when we know who our real friends are. While I only know you through your poetry and prose, I find a very fine writer who I love to see what she has written next.
