December, December
A month to remember
Take note of the 'skies up above'
It will give us a reason
To celebrate the season
with empathic compassion and love.

Create a new vision
Cast out all division
Look closer at all that seems strange
Then sheath all your sabers
And value your neighbours
This season's the season of change. 

Stand shoulder to shoulder
With younger and older
Turn angry words peaceful and kind
Dispel the charade
Of a world that's decayed
And let light shine on 'joy' thus defined.

Very lovely last six lines to finish this poem of the age. Love the “Then sheath all your sabers/And value your neighbours”. that is spot on. ~~ djl

We certainly are going through changes. But that does not mean that the world is going to hell as so many would like us to believe. This December, we have an opportunity as your poem describes, to mend fences and once again be joyous during this season that can't help but be joyous, giving and loving.
