S ultry sunkissed breeze's news

U nder hedgerows,  far and wide

M elodic song enthralls the hues

M others tend their young with pride 

E soteric lives erupt

R ich abundance bursts astride

T ried and tested Nature's cues

 I nnovative brush applied

M agic - We should ne'er disrupt

E arth's heavenly, artistic muse.

A perfect acrostic! I could feel summer and every word.

Lately I have been singing the old classic from Porgy and Bess, Summertime. In the days that it portrays slaves sweating under the hot sun made it possible the rich to relax and linger in the summer without a care in the world.
