Stalker haunts. A chaos-monger
...bent on causing misery
His target seeks escapism
...a calm, secluded, sanctuary

She writes, to fill her world with visions
...images of who she'd be
If only she could slay the vampire
...feeding from her, greedily

Owning all, controlling all
...draining her to feed his hunger
As, from shadows, wields his wile
...this money-hungry, money-monger.

Decades pass, and allies falter
...falling back in disbelief
They simply cannot comprehend
... the power of this bio-thief.

And yet; within the world of words
...lay glimpses of her other self
And one might view alternate lives
...where monger stayed upon the shelf.

Sometimes, good souls even echo
...back through ever-thinning veil
Which serves to strengthen visions writ
...and render walls of vision's grail.

A cautionary tale of sociopathic Financial Consultants, who don't take no for and answer...
{and why you should never marry one}

A fascinating compilation of thought and perception. I assume most everyone knows he or she has a similar experience... either past or coming in the future. For as you say, "If only she could slay the vampire
...feeding from her, greedily" reminds us we all have to dodge that bullet when its fired.
